Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Society

The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Society is a world-class international, cultural event that stimulates Canadian patriotism, educates youth & recognizes our country's debt to the Canadian Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, attracts tourists to Nova Scotia, strengthens international relations and enhances the commercial position of Tattoo Sponsors. The event takes place every year July 1-8 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Tattoo has been running since 1979 and it recognized as one of Canada's Top Events (Tourism Industry Association of Canada Awards Finalist). The Tattoo is both military and civilian and includes Canadian performers and others from around the world. The Tattoo consists of free festival events and gated family-friendly performances.
