DADA - Dads Against Dirty Air

Diesel exhaust from school buses is bad for the environment but the particulates are especially dangerous for kids to breathe. So when a lineup of buses at schools pump fumes into each other before the kids get sealed inside for a 20 minute drive each day...someone like you needs to step in to stop it. You are becoming a DADA when you do this.

Does it frustrate you when you see people leaving their engines running for 10minutes or an hour? Its wasteful, harms the local air quality, contributes to climate change and is harmful to breathe - especially for the elderly and developing lungs of children.

Most people feel uncomfortable asking someone to turn off their engines. DADA is a low-key approach and worthy reason to get people to stop idling. DO IT FOR THE KIDS is a request that most parents understand.

If you want to help make your neighbourhood a safer place to play and walk in, ask neighbours to show common-courtesy to others and help make your neighbourhood a safer and cleaner place to live for all of us. Not idling will save $200-300 in fuel costs per year, When someone idles their engine for 20 minutes
